NEWSFLASH - WE ARE NOW A REGISTERED CHARITY!!!

We can now confirm that the Charities Commission as awarded us with charity status as of Tuesday 13th September 2011.
Following the announcement at our EGM in July,  our committee spent most of August filling in forms and signing documents for our application. We are absolutely thrilled that our hard work has paid off. Being a charity will bring several benefits to Andover Musical Theatre Company as well as a financial saving of about £2500 per year thanks to discounts on things like advertising and the ability to reclaim VAT. In addition we can claim Gift Aid on all donations made to the society including fees paid by both our members and friends. Best of all we can officially collect monies for ourselves using collection buckets giving us the opportunity to raise funds for our future development.

Our President Sue Parker will be officially launching our new name and charity status at our FREE concert on Saturday 17th September, 4pm at The Lights, Andover, where we will welcome the Mayor of Test Valley, Cllr Zillia Brooks and local MP Sir George Young.

Entry to the concert is completely FREE however tickets are on a first come first served basis so we advise early arrival.
