AMOS are please to announce that as a result of our collection at The Lights Theatre during our production of Scrooge Naomi House Children's Hospice,we have raised a total of £376.66.
We handed in our collection buckets just before Christmas and have just received notification from Deborah Speirs, Naomi House Commnity Fundraising Co-ordinator of the final amount. We are really thrilled that we have been able to make such a sizeable donation. We will be visiting Naomi House in the next month or so to present them with a cheque. For more information about the work of the hospice please visit their website: www.naomihouse.org.uk Congratulations to Paul Marsh who has been nominated for a Curtain Call Award - Best Actor in a Musical - for his performance of Ebenzer Scrooge! The judges said that Paul had a beautiful singing voice and had excellent characterization. The awards will take place on the 29th January 2010 at The Devere Grand Harbour Hotel in Southampton. Fingers crossed! 1/12/2009 It's Curtain Up for Scrooge! Our first night of Scrooge went really well tonight. The audience numbers were better than expected so we were really pleased! A small group of us donned our Scrooge costumes and spent 2 hours Carol singing in Andover's Chantry Centre on Saturday. Raising money for Naomi House we sang a variety of festive favourites such as White Christmas, Jingle Bells, Bethlehem and Hark the Herald Angels Sing!
Passing shoppers seemed to enjoy of performance and gave very generously - we won't be counting up the collection until after Scrooge but the buckets were very heavy! Fingers crossed the people of Andover have been generous! 19/11/2009 Paul Marsh Radio Star!!!On Thursday 19th November, star of 'Scrooge' Paul Marsh went to Castledown Radio station and was interviewed live 'on air' by morning show presenter Rick Young. Paul did a great job telling listeners about the show - hopefully it will drum up some interest from the people of Ludgershall, Tidworth and the surrounding villages.
