We can now confirm that the Charities Commission as awarded us with charity status as of Tuesday 13th September 2011.
Following the announcement at our EGM in July, our committee spent most of August filling in forms and signing documents for our application. We are absolutely thrilled that our hard work has paid off. In addition we can claim Gift Aid on all donations made to the society including fees paid by both our members and friends. Best of all we can officially collect monies for ourselves using collection buckets giving us the opportunity to raise funds for our future development.

The audience at last nights Concert For Life at The Lights, hosted by Andover Carnival were treated to an evening of entertainment from a mix of local performers.... from the very young stars of The Long Overdue Theatre School, and the dancers from the Ruby Slippers Show School to the likes of talented singer Jake Ward and not forgetting our very own AMOS members!
Despite a few technical hitches, the show seem to be well-received with the audience responding to the funny and sometimes moving performances of pop songs, ballads and showtunes.
A sell-out success, the concert sold around 240 tickets, the proceeds of which will be donated to the Rotary International Shelterbox Appeal.
AMOS members Louise Ellison, Paul Marsh and Ann Sinclair are performing with a group of other local singers in a charity concert at The Lights this coming Sunday 20th February 2011.

Plans for our musicals concert are underway!
Director Joe Crawley met with the committee to share his creative vision and we will be releasing more information very soon. The main aim of the concert is to showcase some of the newer musicals that have hit the West End in the last few years. Moving on for the traditional classics that we have performed over and over, to make way for the modern shows such as Avenue Q, Spamalot and Wicked.
We are just finalising the name and the poster design and then we will give you a sneak preview of some of the songs to be featured. Keep checking the Concert webpage for more info CLICK HERE
