THE MUSCIAL SENSATION Ever since winning the inaugural series of Pop Idol in 2002,Will Young has been one of the UK’s most popular and successful music artists. He holds the record for the fastest selling debut single in British chart history and his current Platinum selling album, Echoes, went straight to number one in the charts. Will has also enjoyed a successful acting career, which saw him appear alongside Dame Judi Dench in the film Mrs Henderson Presents, and it is the combination of these talents which has led him to star in Cabaret. Michelle famously beat a host of Hollywood names to play the title role in the cult US NBC TV show The Bionic Woman. Since then she has appeared in popular television dramas including Doctor Who, Merlin and Jekyll and contemporary films including 4,3,2,1. Michelle is also well known for starring as Zoe Slater in Eastenders. CABARET features show-stopping choreography, dazzling costumes and some of the most iconic songs in musical theatre including Money Makes The World Go Round, Two Ladies, Maybe This Time and of course Cabaret. The wonderfully festive seasonal musical Irving Berlin’s White Christmas The Musical comes to The Mayflower, Southampton from 11th to 26th November 2011 and the producers are looking for 2 girls to alternately play the part of Susan, the General’s grand-daughter! On Saturday 3rd September, the production team of Irving Berlin’s White Christmas The Musical will be at Oceana, West Quay Road, Southampton, holding auditions for their glittery, greeting card of a show! Two girls will be required to rehearse in London for the part of Susan and perform during the run at The Mayflower, Southampton and The Grand Canal Theatre, Dublin and be available between mid-October 2011 and Saturday 7th January 2012. The production requires 2 girls aged between 8 – 12 years old, strictly no more than 5 ft tall and with no fixed braces. They will need to be undeveloped, with an excellent belt voice have the ability to move well and speak in an American accent. All children must live within commutable distance of The Mayflower, Southampton, have a passport and be prepared to travel, stay and perform in Dublin. Children will be required to sing and are advised to wear comfortable clothing and to bring a passport sized photograph along to the audition. Children will be seen strictly in the order in which they arrive and only a limited number of children will be able to be seen on the day, as the auditions MUST be completed by 3pm. If your child was born to perform and would be suitable, then come along to Oceana on Saturday 3rd September at 9.30am. |
