On Friday 30th January, Louise, James and eight AMOS members attended The Southern Daily Echo Curtain Call Awards ceremony at St Mary's Stadium, Southampton (unfortunately Maria couldn't make it due to overseas work commitments).
Dressed up in our best frocks and tuxes, the evening started with a surprise ride in a stretch Limosine from Ben's Limo's, complete with glass of bubbly for the journey! We were greeted at the venue with a Champagne reception which was followed by a delicious three course meal - lovely!
After dinner the presentations began and we waited with anticipation for the results..... unfortunately we didn't win, but we still felt honoured to have been nominated, as there seemed to be some very talented competition.
Louise and James would like to thank the society for all their support and particularly those who came with us - We thoroughly enjoyed the whole evening!

Since we officially formed in 1963, Andover Musical & Operatic Society has performed many different shows from the ever-popular Guilbert & Sullivan standards and Viennese operettas to works as diverse as Carmen and Godspell, and modern musicals such as Oklahoma!, Brigadoon and Carousel.
Thoroughly Modern Millie is officially our 50th Show, and we hope it might be one of our best ever! Set in New York amidst the roaring 1920’s the tantalizing storyline, exciting musical score and energetic dance numbers should prove popular with audiences of all ages.
Patrons of the society are invited to join the cast and celebrate this momentus production at an after-show buffet on Tuesday 13th May 2008, Tickets are £3.50. If you would like to join us, please contact our Theatre Officer - Linda Bagnall for tickets on 01264 351168
