Curtain Call Awards 2009 - 30th January 2009
AMOS were extrememly pleased for our three members nominated for Curtain Call Awards by the Southern Daily Echo for their performances in our production of Thoroughly Modern Millie in May 2008.
Louise Ellison was nominated for "Best Actress in a Musical" for the title role of 'Millie', James Quinn was nominated for "Best Actor in a Musical" for his role as 'Jimmy Smith' and Maria Candy was nominated for "Best Supporting Actress" for her part as 'Miss Dorothy'.
On Friday 30th January ten of us attended the lavish awards bash held at St Marys Stadium in Southampton. Dresses up to the nines, we started the evening in style with a journey in a stretch limousine courtesy of Ben's Limo's from Andover. We were welcomed with a champagne reception, followed by a three course meal and then the awards themselves.
Sadly we didn't win any awards but we had a fantastic night!
(Unfortunately Maria was unable to enjoy us due to a business trip but she was with us in spirit!)
