AMOS are please to announce that as a result of our collection at The Lights Theatre during our production of Scrooge Naomi House Children's Hospice,we have raised a total of £376.66.
We handed in our collection buckets just before Christmas and have just received notification from Deborah Speirs, Naomi House Commnity Fundraising Co-ordinator of the final amount. We are really thrilled that we have been able to make such a sizeable donation. We will be visiting Naomi House in the next month or so to present them with a cheque. For more information about the work of the hospice please visit their website: www.naomihouse.org.uk AMOS will be carol singing in The Chantry centre on Saturday 21st November and Saturday 12th December to raise money for Naomi House Childrens Hospice. Last year we were pleased to have raised over £300 for the childrens charity who have struggled this year due to some of their fund being tied up in an Icelandic bank. It is such a worthy cause that helps so many children in our area, this year we would like to raise even more so in addition to our carol singing we will also be collecting donations at the theatre during our production of Scrooge. For more information about Naomi House visit their website: www.naomihouse.org.uk We are pleased to announce that over the last two weekends we have managed to raise over £300 for local charity - Naomi House by entertaining the crowds of Christmas Shoppers in Andover's Chantry Centre with Christmas Carols. Beverley Streets, Office Manager for the Chantry Centre said "Many thanks for your efforts – AMOS are more than welcome to perform in the Centre at any time!". Beverley will present the Naomi House Childrens Hospice with a cheque in the new year. For more information about Naomi House Children's Hospice visit their website: www.naomihouse.org.uk We also entertained the residents at Andover War Memorial Hospital's 'Willow Court' Nursing Home with an afternoon Christmas Carol Concert on Saturday 13th December. |
